SALT LAKE CITY (March 28, 2011) – Friends of Sherry Wacasy Black announced today that they are offering a reward of up to $250,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) who so brutally murdered her.

Shortly after Thanksgiving weekend, on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 1:43 PM, South Salt Lake Police were dispatched to B&W Billiards & Books (3466 S 700 E) on a stabbing that was called in on the 911 emergency line. Upon arrival police discovered 64-year-old Sherry Black’s body lying on the floor of the business, she had been brutally beaten and stabbed. Sherry Black was discovered by her husband Earl Black Police are releasing the fact that they have DNA blood evidence from a MALE suspect. They believe that the suspect injured himself; he possibly cut his hand during the attack and left the scene with blood on his clothing. The DNA blood evidence will make it easier to eliminate persons of interest that are not responsible for this crime.
