(KUTV) In a press conference Thursday afternoon, the family of Sherry Black, a bookstore owner who was stabbed to death in 2010, has increased the reward money for information leading to the suspect’s arrest from $50,000 to $250,000.
Police believe the killer cut his hand while stabbing Black, and collected blood samples at the scene. No match was found, but South Salt Lake Police Chief Chief Jack Carruth says they now have “advanced DNA information.”
The DNA information has helped authorities determine what the suspect may have looked like. The suspect is estimated to be a black male with brown eyes.
